Have you ever heard of Test Tube Beauty? It’s another subscription service and I’m a total sucker for these right now. I really do like trying new products without committing to a full size product. Test Tube Beauty is a quarterly service, meaning 4 times a year. It is $29.95 a quarter plus shipping costs, but the box weighed 4 pounds so that’s understandable. Each Test Tube comes with a booklet of information on each product as well as a New Beauty magazine which retails for $9.99 by itself. My first Test Tube came today and I am so excited about this company and to share with you what I got.
The first product that came out of my Test Tube was Kneipp Herbal Bath in “Sleep Well.” The best way to describe this herbal combination is “deep sleep.” For centuries, it has been known for its calming qualities. It can help to relieve nervous tension and improve your sleep. The valerian herb is also known to improve focus. Best results will be obtained when you either sleep or rest after taking your soak. Apparently you use a capful of this after running a hot bath and soak for 10-15 minutes to help get a more restful sleep. I received the 0.68oz size which retails for $5 on its website.
The next product I pulled out of my Test Tube was from Ahava. It is the”Time to Hydrate Essential Day Moisturizer” in 0.51oz. This is a long-lasting moisturizer for daily use which has been approved for sensitive skin. The full size product retails for $38 which makes this a $12 sample.
I also received a Kerstin Florian ”Krauter Foot Balm.” This foot cream contains menthol, rosemary, pine and lavender which provide nourishing and protecting care for the feet. Benefits are refreshing tired feet and legs, softens cracked heels, maintains healthy cuticles, provides cooling, soothing and anti-fungal benefits. The full size retails for $32 which makes this an $8 sample.
I also got a sample of LashFood “Eyelash Conditioner.” The website says: “Nourish lashes with this revolutionary, natural eyelash conditioner featuring Nano-Peptide Technology. Created by a team of cosmetic scientists, this breakthrough, powerful formula is clinically demonstrated to provide the appearance of longer, thicker, lashes and to transform frail and brittle lashes to become healthy and strong. Enjoy visibly different, stunning lashes in 3-6 weeks!” It retails for $80 making this a $26 sample.
Can you believe there’s more? I got a full size of Garnier Fructis “Skin Renew Dark Spot Corrector.” Studies show that after continued use, this corrector lightens sports from acne scarring or other pigmentation issues. It contains a lot of Vitamin C to help lighten the skin. This retails for $17.
The next two products I believe I was only supposed to receive one of, but I noticed another product was missing from my tube. I received two products from Hydroxatone, the Instant Wrinkle Filler and the 90 Second Wrinkle Reducer. These are also both full size products, which is amazing since the 90 second wrinkle reducer is $69.95 and the wrinkle filler is $79.95. Both claim to minimize the appearance of wrinkles, but the 90 second one claims to be an instant fix. I really don’t have any wrinkles so I might be giving this to my mom as a Christmas present. (Hopefully she isn’t offended!)
Finally, another full size product. My Test Tube had a Moroccan Oil “Glimmer Shine Spray" which supposedly gives instant shine to dry hair and protects against the elements. I have heard about Moroccan Oil products all over youtube and have wanted to try some, and now I can. This product retails for $26.
All together, including the cost of the magazine, this Test Tube is valued at $252 and I spent $29.95 plus shipping. Really, you cannot beat that. On top of all of that I also received a $50 gift card to SpaLook redeemable on purchases over $200, just another added bonus. I am so very excited to try these products!
